Delics FAQ's

What does CBD stand for?

CBD stands for cannabidiol (can·na·bid·i·ol - popped this in here in case, like us, you found this a bit of a mouthful), a compound naturally found within cannabis plants.

What is CBD?

CBD is one of around 104 chemical compounds that can be found in the cannabis plant. Hemp plants contain natural high levels of CBD compared to that of Marijuana plants where THC is prevalent.
It’s a naturally occurring substance, which can be extracted and mixed with a carrier oil – in our case it’s olive oil.

What is THC?

THC the compound that causes psycho active (high) affects. The legal amount of THC in UK regulated products is 0.2%.
Delics products have less than 0.2%, meaning it will not get you high… even if you want it to!

What are the benefits of CBD?

Unless you are living in a cupboard under the stairs, you must have read or heard about CBD by now and the main way people are using it is for pain, anxiety, stress, insomnia and a wide variety of other conditions.

How long does it take for CBD oil to work?

You know that tongue trick we just mentioned? Well, placing CBD oil drops under your tongue is the most efficient and speedy way to get it into your bloodstream.
However, it’s important to know that like great sex, you’re going to need some foreplay to get the best bang for your buck.
Take it daily for at least 2 weeks, then assess your mood, pain and/or sleep, before increasing your dosage as you see fit.

What should I look out for on the packing to ensure I’m dosing effectively?

On the packaging of products look for the amount of active CBD.
It needs to be considered that some people may need more than others. i.e if in more pain someone may take 3-4 drops in one dose twice daily.
An easy guideline is to start with 1-2 drops twice a day then build up, CBD may take a few days to enter the system.
The daily limit is no more than 200mg (around 80 drops).

                Why are certificates important?

Certificates show measured amounts of Cannabinoids present products. It is best to look for the total CBD amount and calculate the amount of CBD stated on the bottle.
                E.G. In a 1000mg 10ml bottle there is 5mg dose per drop.

Will CBD show up on drug tests?

CBD individually is a legal ingredient and is not looked for in drug tests. So long story short - nope.
As long as you take the highest quality grade CBD products, which are independently tested to ensure no significant content of psychoactive THC, then CBD will not show up in a drug test.
The full spectrum CBD we use contains <0.02% THC, which is the legal limit.

                    What is full spectrum?

Full spectrum. is full plant cannabinoids, meaning it’s the closest to the natural plant. So, there are less nasties involved in the process, giving you a more natural high.

Although there are no major side effects from CBD, there is not enough evidence to suggest it is safe to use during pregnancy.
